US Toast Advocates Program Terms & Conditions

Effective for Qualified Referrals (as defined below) submitted on or after March 1, 2026.

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply to the Toast Advocates Program (the “Program”). By submitting a referral of a prospective customer to Toast or otherwise participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms, the Toast Terms of Service, and Toast’s Privacy Statement.

Program Eligibility

Who is Eligible to Participate?

Full-time Toast employees, active employees of an existing Toast POS services customer (as defined herein), consultants, investors, and friends in the United States who refer a US business to Toast for point of sale and payment processing services (“POS services”) through the online referral form or in writing, including by email, to a Toast Account Executive may be eligible to receive the Bonus Payout as set forth below. Employees of a business that has a partner agreement with Toast will be paid in accordance with the applicable partner agreement.

Who is not eligible to participate?

All Toast employees who are eligible for a sales commission, Management by Objective (MBO), or other variable compensation plan tied to lead generation or sales acquisition are ineligible; this exclusion applies to all roles within the Field Sales and Inside Sales organizations (e.g., Account Executives, Sales Development Representatives, Business Development Representatives, District Managers, and their management), and includes such employees’ immediate family and household members;
Business owners, operators, or decision-makers responsible for making the POS purchasing decision referring their own businesses.
Franchisors responsible for making the POS purchasing decision referring their own franchisees; and
Individuals who are under 18 years old.

Referral Requirements

Subject to these Terms, for each “Qualified Referral” that meets the following criteria, an eligible Toast advocate may be eligible to receive the applicable Bonus Payout listed below. A “Qualified Referral” is a business that:

You refer to Toast through one of the following channels:
Completing the Refer a Business Form available on the home page of your Advocate Hub
Completing the Refer a Business Form available on the Toast website
Sharing your personal URL, available on the home page of your Advocate Hub, directly with your network, on your website/blog, social media bios, etc.
Submitting to your local Toast sales representative via text or email
Is not an existing lead in the Toast system; and
enters into a Merchant Agreement Initial Order Form with Toast for POS services as a result of your referral, and has been live, processing transactions on the Toast POS platform for at least seven days (“Go-Live”).

Verbal referrals will not be accepted.

Toast will determine, in its sole discretion, whether a referral is a Qualified Referral. Toast reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the lead source of a Qualified Referral. Exceptions may be made, in Toast’s sole discretion, if the referral has not been contacted by Toast for at least six (6) months.

Bonus Payouts

Eligible Advocates may receive a $1,000 bonus payout or more (subject to the Advocate Status section below) (the ”Bonus Payout”) for each Qualified Referral that has a single business location that sign a Toast Merchant Agreement Initial Order Form with Toast. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Bonus Payout for a business brand or group (including either a franchise group or corporate entity and its affiliates) (each “Business Group”) will be $1,000 or more (subject to the Advocate Status section below) for the first location in a Business Group that sign a Toast Merchant Agreement Initial Order Form with Toast; $500 for any subsequent locations, up to a maximum of fourteen (14) subsequent locations, in a Business Group that sign a Toast Merchant Agreement Initial Order Form with Toast within 6 months of when the first location signed. After the fifteenth location, any further referrals are subject to the Enterprise Referral Program terms in lieu of these Terms.

Advocates may only receive one Bonus Payout per Qualified Referral, and may not use the same Qualified Referral in more than one Toast referral program.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, employees of a business that has a partner agreement with Toast will be paid in accordance with the applicable partner agreement.

Additional Terms

Toast will determine, in its sole discretion, whether an advocate’s Qualified Referral is eligible for a Bonus Payout and reserves the right to disqualify any advocate at any time for any reason from participation in the Program for reasons including but not limited to Toast’s good faith belief that advocate has violated these Terms. Subject to the Terms herein, there is no limit to the number of referrals an advocate can submit, or Bonus Payouts an advocate may receive, while the Program is in effect. Each Bonus Payout will be made by direct deposit. Advocate must enroll in the Program Portal (“Referral Portal”), and provide a W-9 and ACH information, in order to receive the Bonus Payout and timely payment of the Bonus Payout is dependent on timely enrollment in the Referral Portal. Advocate is solely responsible for reporting and remitting all taxes in connection with any amounts received in connection with the Program.

If an advocate does not enroll in the Referral Portal and provide the information requested in the Portal within 30 days of a Qualified Referral’s Go-Live, the Advocate shall no longer be eligible to receive a Bonus Payout for that Qualified Referral.

Advocate Status

There are three tiers of status for those who participate in the Program, each of which qualify for different Bonus Payouts. You must be registered as an active Toast advocate to participate at advocates.toasttab.com. Each Toast advocate will be subject to the tier qualifications and Bonus Payouts as follows:

Neighbor: An eligible Toast advocate will be paid $1,000 for their 1st Qualified Referral.
Regular: An eligible Toast advocate who has already completed their first Qualified Referral will be paid $1,250 for their 2nd and 3rd Qualified Referral.
Insider: An eligible Toast advocate who has already completed their first three Qualified Referrals will be paid $1,500 for their 4th and all subsequent Qualified Referrals.

Notwithstanding the above, (a) members of Toast’s Customer Advisory Board (CAB) will fall under the Insider tier immediately (regardless of their number of Qualified Referrals), and receive $1,500 payouts for each Qualified Referral for the duration of their CAB membership; and (b) a Toast Advocate that submits a Qualified Referral that is a retail business, in Toast’s sole discretion, will be paid $2,000 for each Qualified Referral.

For the avoidance of doubt, a Business Group will only count as one Qualified Referral for purposes of the tiers of status above; please refer to the Bonus Payout section for the structure of Bonus Payouts for Business Group additional locations.

Modifications

Toast reserves the right to modify these Terms or terminate the Program at any time, in its sole discretion, without notice. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Non-Partner Referral Hardware Promotion Special Terms and Conditions

New Toast, Inc. (“Toast”) merchant customers who sign Toast's Merchant Agreement and are referred to by a Toast Customer, Industry Peer, or Internal Toaster may be eligible to receive a one-time discount on Toast hardware (“Hardware”) of up to five hundred dollars ($500) on applicable Hardware. New Customer must have a referral from a Toast Customer, Industry Peer, or Internal Toaster at the time of or prior to signing Toast's Merchant Agreement.

The discount may only be applied once per New Customer. The discount cannot be redeemed for cash and may not be applied toward Software, implementation, shipping, or other fees. This is a limited time offer subject to change. Toast reserves the right to suspend, modify, or cancel this promotion at any time.

Partner Referral Hardware Promotion Special Terms and Conditions

New SMB Toast, Inc. (“Toast”) merchant customers who sign a Toast Merchant Agreement Initial Order Form (“Initial Order”) in the United States after being referred to Toast by an Official Partner may be eligible to receive a one-time discount of up to nine hundred and ninety-nine dollars ($999) on Toast hardware purchased in such New Customer’s Initial Order if such New Customer (i) has a referral from an Official Partner at the time of or prior to signing such Toast Initial Order, and (ii) purchases at least nine hundred and ninety-nine dollars ($999) of Hardware in such Initial Order.

For the purposes of this discount, “Official Partner” shall mean a business that has a formal partnership agreement with Toast, excluding, however, any partner that has its own custom discount or promotion with Toast (in which case, such custom discount or promotion shall supersede this discount). Toast shall determine in its sole discretion whether a partner is an Official Partner for the purposes of this discount.

“SMB” shall mean a merchant customer with less than fifteen (15) business locations and that signs up for Toast through Toast’s small and midsize business channels. Toast shall determine whether a merchant customer is considered an SMB in its sole discretion.

Hardware Promotion for Toast Advocates Special Terms and Conditions

Merchant customer locations that (i) are either owned by or a customer of an active Toast Advocate with “Regular” Advocate Status as set forth above and determined by Toast in its sole discretion, and (ii) receive a unique link provided by Toast in the applicable Toast Advocates account, may be eligible for a one-time discount of up to two hundred and fifty U.S. Dollars ($250) off of a Hardware purchase. To use this discount, an eligible location must use the unique link provided by Toast in the applicable Toast Advocates account and follow the instructions provided, including entering any applicable promotion code. This discount cannot be redeemed for cash and may not be applied toward Software, implementation, shipping, or other fees. This is a limited time offer subject to change and may only be used one time per eligible merchant customer location.

Toast reserves the right to suspend, modify, or cancel this promotion at any time. This discount may not be combined with any other promotions.

Software Discounts for Toast Advocates Special Terms and Conditions

Merchant customer locations that (i) are either owned by or a customer of an active Toast Advocate with “Insider” Advocate Status as set forth above and determined by Toast in its sole discretion, and (ii) receive a unique link provided by Toast in the applicable Toast Advocates account, may be eligible for a twenty-five percent (25%) discount off of any Software subscription fee. For the avoidance of doubt, this discount only applies to the monthly Software subscription fee associated with such Software; it does not apply to any other fees incurred during Merchant’s use of the Software. To use this discount, an eligible location must use the unique link provided by Toast in the applicable Toast Advocates account and follow the instructions provided, including entering any applicable promotion code. For the avoidance of doubt, such Software discount will apply for new Software subscriptions purchased by such eligible location’s and will not apply retroactively to previously purchased subscriptions.

This discount cannot be redeemed for cash and may not be applied toward Hardware, implementation, shipping, or other fees. This is a limited time offer subject to change and may only be used one time per eligible merchant customer location. Toast reserves the right to suspend, modify, or cancel this promotion at any time. This discount may not be combined with any other promotions.

Limited Time Additional Bonus

Eligible Advocates, excluding any Official Partners (as defined below) or their employees, who submit a Qualified Referral between May 1, 2026 and May 31, 2026 (“Additional Bonus Period”) and meet all requirements in the Bonus Payouts section as set forth above are eligible for a supplemental bonus payout of $500 per Qualified Referral, in addition to the Bonus Payout as set forth above for each Qualified Referral, if such Qualified Referral enters into a Merchant Agreement Initial Order Form with Toast for POS services, and goes live, processing transactions on the Toast platform for at least seven days on or before November 30, 2026. Such supplemental bonus payout will be paid with the Eligible Advocates’ standard Bonus Payout. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if an Eligible Advocate submits a Qualified Referral for a Business Group, the Eligible Advocate will be eligible for one supplemental bonus payout on the first location within such Business Group only; any additional locations within the same Business Group will not qualify for a supplemental bonus payout under this paragraph. This is a limited time offer subject to change and may only be used one time per Eligible Advocate. “Official Partner” shall mean a business that has a formal partnership agreement with Toast, excluding, however, any partner that has its own custom discount or promotion with Toast (in which case, such custom discount or promotion shall supersede this discount). Toast shall determine in its sole discretion whether a partner is an Official Partner for the purposes of this discount.

End Summer Hunger Referral Campaign Terms

For each new referral that is submitted to Toast, Inc. (“Toast”) between June 1, 2026 through August 31, 2026 (the “Donation Campaign Period”), Toast will donate $5.00 U.S. Dollars to No Kid Hungry, provided that Toast’s total donation during the Donation Campaign Period will not exceed $25,000 U.S. Dollars total. Toast reserves the right to suspend, modify, or cancel this donation campaign at any time. Donations help support programs that feed kids; No Kid Hungry does not provide individual meals.
