Everything Toast announced at our Fall Product Release

Our newest innovations, inspired by our customers.

Customers asked and we listened. We’re passionate about helping our customers succeed, and listening is key to our recipe for success. From features that help our customers save time, work smarter on the go, increase revenue, give back to the community, and more, this year’s U.S. Fall Product Release is full of innovations targeting our customers’ most pressing needs. 

  1. We released a Branded Mobile App, allowing customers to build their brand on our white-labeled solution. This opens up new avenues for digital ordering and ensures they stay top of mind (or top of screen).

  2. Our new SMS Marketing tool gives operators the ability to reach their subscribed guests via text and connect in real time with promotional offers, event invites, marketing campaigns, and more.

  3. We shared a Benchmarking update (Coming Soon) so restaurants can more granularly define their comparison cohort and get more precise insights on how they stack up to their peers.

  4. With updates to Toast Now, operators can view checks on the fly, see more detailed reporting, access chat support, and more from the palm of their hands. Keeping tabs on the running tab just got a whole lot easier. 

  5. We released major improvements to Toast Kiosk’s interface, with a re-imagined guest-friendly interface, clear upsell opportunities, and a more robust loyalty experience.

  6. A new POS Layout View allows operators to view published changes—from anywhere.

  7. New tools for restaurants to give back to their communities and help them run a more sustainable business

    1. Our Fundraising feature allows Toast customers to support what matters to them by letting guests round up their checks to local or national charities1.

    2. The Food Waste Reduction tool gives operators detailed reporting on waste, and educational resources on food banks, donations, and more. Waste not, want not. 

    3. Our new Packaging Preferences feature gives guests the choice to opt out of single-use utensils. With this, restaurants can reduce plastic use (and save money) on takeout orders.

  8. Toast Tables features a host of new updates:

    1. Our updated Mobile-Friendly Host App brings the host stand to wherever our on-the-go managers are. 

    2. We added a Cover Count Report, giving operators insight into their upcoming reservations, including large parties, peak booking times, VIPs, and more. 

    3. We’re releasing Deposits. With this, restaurants can keep the dreaded no-call, no-show at bay by collecting deposits in the Toast Tables app. Then, apply the deposit directly to the guest’s check at the end of the meal.

  9. We added features to Toast Payroll as well:
     
    1. Tax Center helps operators prepare for each quarter’s tax filing and avoid unnecessary stress with our new centralized tax destination.

    2. Pay Change Experience helps operators move faster by centralizing employee pay in one place.

    3. New Hire Onboarding helps operators save time getting new employees set up so that their first payroll hits bank accounts without a snag. 

  10. With Menu Item Reviews, guests can give thumbs-up or thumbs-down feedback after completing their mobile payment. Operators can leverage that data to optimize their service and keep a pulse on menu quality.

  11. We rolled out Catering & Events Discussions, helping operators avoid clunkiness or missed messages by keeping all communications with catering guests directly within Toast.
