With Toast Now you can view sales and labor data with hour-by-hour totals and helpful breakdowns, including comparisons to same day last week and year. The mobile app also makes it easy to view this data for all your locations.  

Multilocation - This view keeps things simple. Log in once and see all your locations and performance in a single place. You can easily switch between locations without having to log into a separate account. This provides useful data that can help you determine why one location might be making more profits than another. 

Team management & communication

Effective team management and communication are essential components for the success of your restaurant. Toast Now empowers managers to handle these shift-related tasks on their smartphones. Shift management - You can add and edit entries to your manager log, synced with Toast Web, and reply quickly with simple conversational threads. This is a great tool for restaurant shift notes, without having to leave the floor to see updates in your back office. 

Labor - Toast Now enables you to see who’s clocked in or out, edit employee shifts, and view shift information, including tips earned and break times. All on the go! Sometimes employees show up late or forget to clock out. Toast Now keeps you informed on your staff. 

On-the-go controls

Staying in control of your operations, even while on the move, is paramount. Toast Now is designed to empower you with the flexibility to manage crucial aspects of your restaurant's day-to-day activities wherever you are. How to set up Toast Now today 

Start by downloading the Toast Now app on iOS from the App Store. At this time, Toast Now is only available for iOS. An Android version of the app is in development. When you open the app, select Log in at the bottom of the screen and sign in using the email address and password that you use to sign in to Toast Web. As you sign in, your phone will give you the option to save your password or set up Face ID on your device to make it easier to return to the app.

A user’s permissions for Toast Now will mirror their access permissions in Toast Web – if you don’t have access to Toast Web, you’ll see an error message when signing in to the app. Check out the Required User Permissions section of this article for a breakdown of the specific permissions required for different parts of the Toast Now experience.

If you have access to multiple restaurant locations in Toast Web, you’ll be able to access all of them on the Toast Now app. The first time you log into the app, you’ll see the multi-location view that shows you high-level data for every location you have access to. Select a specific location to open up the homepage overview. The next time you log in to the app, you’ll see the homepage overview of the last restaurant you looked at.

You can return to the multi-location view to access a different location (that you have the correct permissions for) by selecting the restaurant name at the top of the screen.
