Toast Announces New Headquarters in Boston Seaport

Aug 08, 2023

Company plans to open an office in 2024 at 333 Summer Street.

BOSTON, MA -  Today, Toast (NYSE: TOST), the all-in-one digital technology platform built for restaurants, announced the location of its new headquarters in the heart of Boston’s Seaport District at 333 Summer Street. Toast plans to open the new space in early 2024.

“From the startup tech scene to the restaurant community we support to the various neighborhoods we’ve called home, the Boston area has always been welcoming to Toast,” said Aman Narang, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Toast. “When we dreamed up the idea for Toast in a bar in Kendall Square more than a decade ago, we never imagined the impact it would have on so many people and businesses. We are grateful to the greater Boston community for supporting us throughout the years, and look forward to opening  our new, collaborative space.”

A short walk from South Station with close proximity to Boston Logan International Airport, the new space will be designed to allow Toast to better support our culture and enable collaboration and innovation. The space will include:

  • More flexible spaces geared toward building community, connection, collaboration, and supporting a hybrid way of working.
  • Optimal, walkable location near a central transportation hub and in a neighborhood energized by activities for connection outside of the office (including restaurants, of course!).
  • Accessible gym, basketball court, locker room, and bike storage to support Toast’s commitment to health and wellness for our employees.
  • A  community space with a mezzanine for large gatherings featuring an outdoor patio.
  • Intentional design that reflects who we are — including our culture, brand, products, and customers. We want to celebrate all of these elements through our product demo spaces, favorite food puns, amenities, and more.

“With over 4,500 Toasters across the world serving approximately 93,000 restaurant locations as of June 30, 2023, finding a new headquarters in Boston with flexible spaces to support our growing business and our collaborative way of working was essential in our decision-making process,” said Beth Choulas, VP, Global  Real Estate and Workplace Experience at Toast. “We are eager to explore all that the Seaport offers—especially the restaurants.”
