2025 Toast Valentine’s Day Giveaway Official Rules


NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, AND PUERTO RICO WHO ARE AT LEAST EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OLD AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. 

  1. Sponsor

    The 2025 Valentine’s Day Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is sponsored by Toast, Inc., located at 333 Summer Street Boston, MA 02210 (“Sponsor” or “Toast”).

  2. Giveaway Description

    The Giveaway seeks to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Toast wants to reward all those people who work hard to make Valentine’s Day special for everyone. The first two hundred (200) restaurant workers who enter on Toast’s Valentine's Day Giveaway sign-up sheet will receive $50 in Promotional Toast Cash as a thank you for working Valentine’s Day weekend. 

  3. Eligibility

    This Giveaway is open to eligible legal residents within the fifty United States, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Eligible individuals are (1) eighteen (18) years of age or older, (2) employed by a restaurant, and (3) working a shift on or between February 14, 2025, and February 17, 2025. Employees of Sponsor or their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible for the Giveaway. Incomplete, unreadable, unintelligible, untimely, non-compliant, and fraudulent entries, and any entries that violate these Official Rules, will be disqualified.

  4. Entry

    An eligible individual may only enter the Giveaway once. Eligible entrants may enter by providing their name, place of work, position, and email address into the Giveaway sign-up sheet. Only the first two hundred (200) eligible entrants will receive a Prize.

    Limit one (1) entry per individual. Entries may be submitted beginning on February 13, 2025, at 12:00:00 p.m. (ET) and ending no later than 11:59:59 PM ET on February 20, 2025 (the “Entry Period”) to be eligible. Submissions outside of the Entry Period will be ineligible to win a Prize.  Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Giveaway.

  5. Winner Selection

    Two Hundred (200) winners will be selected on February 20, 2025. Winners will be notified via the email address provided in the entry form no later than February 27, 2025. The odds of winning a Prize will be determined based on the number of eligible entries and the speed of the entrants. Each entrant may only win one (1) prize.

  6. Prizes

    Each of the two hundred (200) Winners will receive $50 worth of Promotional Toast Cash. Approximate retail value of each prize is $50. Odds of receiving a Prize are dependent on speed of entry and the number of eligible entrants. 

  7. Prize Conditions

    Promotional Toast Cash codes are for discounts at restaurants using Toast provided to you by Toast. Promotional Toast Cash can only be redeemed for discounts when you purchase goods and services at restaurants using Toast. Toast Cash you receive in the form of promotional codes is not cash, does not represent prepaid or stored value, and is not redeemable for cash or credit. Promotional Toast Cash has an expiration date. 

    Winners are solely responsible for paying any federal, state, local, and income taxes as a result of accepting a Prize. Any Prize details not specified above will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Any other incidental expenses on Prize not specified herein are the Winner’s sole responsibility.

    A Prize may not be assigned or transferred and must be accepted as awarded. You may not request a substitute prize.

    Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of a Prize constitute permission to use Winner’s name, prize won, and statements for purposes of advertising similar promotions or giveaways in the future, in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission.

    Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Winners acknowledge that the Sponsor and all other businesses affiliated with this Giveaway and their agents do not make, nor are in any manner responsible for any warranty, representations, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the quality, conditions, fitness or merchantability of any aspect of the Prize being offered.

  8. Release and Limitations of Liability

    By participating in the Giveaway, you agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and Instagram,(the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Giveaway; (b) technical errors; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail, including electronic mail whether undelivered or filtered as spam; (e) errors in the administration of the Giveaway or the processing of Entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property. You further agree that in any cause of action, in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. You waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. The Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.

  9. Disputes

    You agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Giveaway or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Boston, MA. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sponsor in connection with the Giveaway, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Massachusetts, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of Massachusetts or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Massachusetts.

  10. Contact and Results

    To be notified of the Winners, email brandsocial@toasttab.com with the subject line “2025 Valentine’s Day Giveaway Winner List.” Requests must be received between February 27, 2025, and March 31, 2025.

  11. Additional Terms

    All entries become property of Toast, Inc. and such information shall be processed in accordance with Toast's Privacy Policy. In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Giveaway is impaired in any way, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Giveaway to address the impairment and then resume the Giveaway; or (b) award the Prizes from among the eligible Entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and seek damages from any individual who tampers with the operation of the Giveaway, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive, unfair or unsportsmanlike manner. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to Sponsor by mail shall not be deemed proof of receipt of that communication by Sponsor. The Giveaway is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
