1. General Toast Credit Card FAQ


What is a Toast Credit Card?

Toast Credit card is a Business Credit Card available to eligible Toast customers. The credit limit assigned at origination will range from $1,000 to $30,000 per location based on the customer’s risk and projected credit card sales, and may be updated post origination based on the customer’s risk and usage. The credit limit will apply to all charges made by the business, regardless of which location the charges are associated with.


Who is the issuer of the Toast Credit Card?

The Toast Credit Card is issued by WebBank, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. and may be used anywhere Visa cards are accepted.


Applying for a Toast Credit Card

How do I apply for a Toast Credit Card?

You can apply directly at https://toasttab.com/restaurants/admin/credit-card.


What is my Toast Credit Card dashboard?

Your Toast Credit Card Dashboard is a web application that allows you to view up to date information and self-service your Toast Credit Card. This dashboard can be accessed by the user who applied for the card, through Toast Web (Toast's back-end).


Will you pull my credit score when I apply for a Toast Credit Card?

No. Your credit score will not be pulled, and applying for a Toast Credit Card will not impact your personal or business credit score. 


What kind of information may be helpful to reference while completing my Toast Credit Card application?

To start, make sure to verify that the restaurant information and ownership information we have on file is correct. Beyond that, our application asks for standard business and financial information.


Who can sign the cardholder agreement for my Toast Credit Card?

Make sure you are logged into Toast Web. If approved, you’ll be able to sign your Toast Credit Card agreement directly on your Toast Credit Card dashboard. Please reach out to Toast Capital Operations at creditcard@toasttab.com if you continue to experience trouble signing your cardholder agreement.

Note: Only a beneficial owner (owns 25% or more of your restaurant) or a control person (executive officer, senior manager, or someone who performs similar functions) can apply and sign the Toast Credit Card Agreement on behalf of your restaurant. If your restaurant is a sole proprietorship, only the sole proprietor can sign. If your ownership has changed or if you have added a new control person, we will need to collect the new owner or control person's information to verify their identity. 


How can I access my Toast Credit Card application after I have submitted it?

Any status updates for your application will be available by logging into your Toast Credit Card dashboard. If you need to withdraw or edit your application, contact creditcard@toasttab.com.

2. Toast Credit Card Payments, Statements & Balance


What is the interest on a Toast Credit Card?

The interest rate of your Toast Credit Card is expressed as an Annual Percentage Rate (APR), and will vary with the market based on the U.S. Prime Rate. You can always see the current APR for your Toast Credit Card on your statement.


When is my payment due?

Your due date is 15 days after the close of each Billing Cycle. You must pay at least the total minimum payment due on your Account by the due date specified on each Statement.


How do I view my Toast Credit Card statement(s)?

You can view your statements on your Toast Credit Card Dashboard. 


What if I want to have paper statements sent to my address? 

Unfortunately, Toast Credit Card does not currently offer the ability for paper statements to be sent via the postal service. You may access your statements via your dashboard. 


How do I make a payment?

Payments can be initiated on your dashboard.


What happens if my payment is returned for insufficient or uncollected funds?

If your payment has been returned unpaid by your financial institution, we will charge a returned payment fee in the amount of $40.00.  If the return results in a late payment, you will also be charged a late payment fee in the amount of $40.00.  If you are more than ten (10) days delinquent on the minimum payment specified on your last Statement, a penalty APR of 41.99% will be applied to your account.


What do I have to pay to avoid interest charges?

We will not charge you interest if you pay your entire balance by the due date each month.  We call this a grace period.  If you do not pay your entire balance by the due date for any month, you will not get a grace period again until you pay the entire balance by the due date for two billing cycles in a row.. See your cardholder agreement for more details about interest charges.


If I miss a credit card payment what happens to my account? 

If you miss your minimum payment, (i) an ACH debit to your Connected Bank Account in the amount of the difference between your minimum payment amount and the total amount repaid as of the specified due date may be initiated, and/or (ii) we may hold back up to 100% of your daily payment card receipts until the difference between such minimum payment amount and the total amount repaid as of the specified due date is repaid.


What If I can’t afford my minimum payment?

What If I need to change the bank account on file to make payments?

To update your bank account on file to make a Toast Credit Card payment, please navigate to your dashboard and {specific selection to be defined}


Are alternative repayment methods available for my account?

3. Using your Toast Credit Card


When can I expect to receive my card once approved?

After you sign your Card Agreement, you will receive your card typically in 5-7 business days.


How do I report a lost or stolen Toast Credit Card?

You may report your card lost or stolen directly on your dashboard {specific selection to be defined}


When will I receive a replacement card?

Your new card will arrive within 5-7 business days. If you have not received your new card within this time frame, please contact Toast Credit Card at creditcard@toasttab.com.


When should I freeze my account?

You may freeze your account if you temporarily misplace your card and don’t want to change your card number. It's easy to freeze or unfreeze your account in seconds on the Toast Credit Card dashboard.


How do I earn rewards?

You earn 1% cash back on eligible purchases made with your Toast Credit Card. This cash back is calculated and issued as an automatic statement credit with every statement. View the complete Rewards Terms here.


Do I have to pay foreign transaction fees when I use my Card?

You will be charged a foreign transaction fee in the amount of three percent (3%) of each purchase for purchases you make in currencies other than U.S. dollars and/or in a country other than the U.S., whether or not the transaction was in a foreign currency. Please refer to your cardholder agreement for more information.


How do I dispute a transaction?

Submit a dispute by calling Visa Disputes directly at 1-833-852-1518.


Do I have to pay my disputed transaction?

When a dispute is filed, you may receive a temporary credit for the disputed amount. We will complete a reasonable investigation and will try to notify you of the outcome of your billing dispute within 30 days if possible. If the dispute is resolved in your favor, no additional action will be needed. If the dispute outcome is in favor of the merchant, then the temporary credit will be reversed and the amount will be added back to your balance. 


What do I do if I notice a suspicious charge on my account? 

Contact Toast Credit Card at creditcard@toasttab.com We will file a fraud claim on your behalf and ensure a new credit card is issued. 


How do I close my Toast Credit Card?

You can close your Toast Credit Card account by contacting us at creditcard@toasttab.com or by telephone at (617) 209-3198. After closing an account, you are still responsible for repaying your outstanding balance.
