Help Toast Fight Childhood Hunger this Summer

For the millions of kids in the U.S. who rely on school meals, summer can be the hungriest time of year. In fact, only 13% of children receiving free or reduced-price meals during the school year have access to them during the summer.

With a history of donating meals, dollars, and time, the restaurant industry is no stranger to driving impact around the issue of hunger; after all, its shared purpose is to feed families and individuals in our communities.

That’s why, this June, Toast kicked off our renewed commitment to address food insecurity with a bold, summer campaign, rallying our customers through point-of-sale fundraising, donations (with Toast matching), and referral-driven giving to help provide meals to kids nationwide.

Alongside our nonprofit partner, No Kid Hungry, the End Summer Hunger campaign turns every customer and every guest into a hunger-fighting changemaker. It’s about helping to provide meals for kids experiencing hunger today and supporting systemic solutions to prevent it tomorrow.
