Each year, The Webby Awards recognize talent across the internet, from iconic brands to the biggest personalities. This year, Toast is proud to be honored as a winner in the Advertising, Media & PR Category for our short film, One of Those Nights.
The 28th Annual Webby Awards received over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and over 70 countries worldwide. Winners are selected each year by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), a judging body comprised of industry experts and technology innovators.
Developed in partnership with Arnold Worldwide, featuring celebrated chef and actor Matty Matheson and award-winning Toast customer, Marea, the film represents a first-of-its-kind creative brand campaign for Toast.
“One of Those Nights was the result of powerful collaboration across Toast — from our creative and marketing teams, all the way to a few of our favorite customers. Since we released One of Those Nights, I’ve heard from countless restaurant people how it made them laugh, and how we got it right in terms of what their restaurant teams go through every day,” said Kelly Esten, Chief Marketing Officer at Toast. “We’re so proud to receive this honor from The Webby Awards as a testament to this work, and look forward to continuing to use our platforms to showcase the little things that make in-person hospitality so captivating.”
One of Those Nights was released in January 2024, kicking off Toast’s Little Things campaign. Along with the film, Toast has launched additional content celebrating restaurants, including Signature Dish, a culinary series hosted by Sophia Roe featuring guests like JJ Johnson and Fariyal Abdullahi, and a giveaway with acclaimed food critic Keith Lee.
We thank The Webby Awards for this recognition, along with the teams and talent that helped us bring One of Those Nights to life. While we have been focused on “the little things” this is a big accomplishment, and we celebrate our customers and community who helped us achieve it.
