Study Finds Restaurateurs Optimistic; Focusing on YouTube and Social Media Advertising
BOSTON, Massachusetts – April 26, 2017 – More than 90 percent of restaurateurs say they are “optimistic” for sales in 2017, according to a new study unveiled today by Toast Restaurant Technology . The “Restaurant Success in 2017 Industry Report” takes an inside look at restaurant owners’ strategies for this year, which include visual content, social media and navigating challenges of hiring, training and retaining restaurant staff.
Key findings include:
“The findings in this survey accurately depict the pulse of the restaurant industry’s path to success; our group finds the numbers around 2017 sales predictions to be especially true,” said Mark Pollock, Mahony's Po-boys of New Orleans. “Having the right technology and strategy in place certainly helps fuel success.”

Survey Methodology:
This survey compiles responses from 450 restaurant owners, managers, and/or leaders. The restaurateurs surveyed represented fast casual restaurants (38%), fine dining restaurants (25%), diners (12%), pizzerias (9%), cafes/bakeries/delis (9%), and bars/nightclubs (8%).
