Beach Hut Deli, a restaurant serving gourmet sandwiches and craft beers with a fun beach theme, decided in March to move their restaurant operations to the cloud and improve efficiency across their 35+ locations with Toast as their restaurant POS technology partner.
"We want to run delis, we don't want to be an IT shop... Toast is just what we needed - it saves us money while providing the functionality and tech support we needed so we can focus on serving our customers,” said Mike Miller, Beach Hut’s technology consultant.
With a cloud-based system, Beach Hut Deli can now know their systems are always up-to-date. Toast also offered additional functionality such as online ordering and real-time reporting, as well as integrated kitchen display screens in all locations. But more than the technology itself, Beach Hut Deli was looking for a partner.
“Making a technology change like this across dozens of locations isn’t always easy,” said Toast President Aman Narang. “Beach Hut Deli needed a partner that they could rely on for many, many years. Beach Hut first opened in 1981. Twenty-one years and two more locations later, owner Troy Feist partnered with David Reeves to franchise the restaurant. Today, they have more than 35 locations across California, Reno, and Las Vegas.
“We wanted to get out of the business of supporting technology, we wanted Toast to do all that. Toast’s cloud-based solution is just what we needed - it saves us money while providing the functionality and tech support we needed so we can focus on serving our customers,” said Miller.
